How it works
The JCC of Staten Island is proud to partner with DYCD's Community Resources for employment and Development (CRED) Program. NYC's transformational investment in workforce development. 

CRED provides pathways to employment and economic mobility for people in communities where opportunity has been limited. This initiative offers comprehensive training for sustainable and emerging industries, supported job placement, and strong wraparound services tailored to help participants succeed.

How it works
Get Paid While You Train
  • Earn $20/hour for 25 hours/week during your 24-week class period
  • Receive wages during internship
Industry-Recognized Certifications
  • Gain credentials that employers value and that open doors to in-demand careers 
Real World Experience
  • Complete 12-week paid internship aligned with your training
  • Many internships lead to permanent job offers
Ongoing Support
  • Career coaching and professional development workshops

Who Is Eligible? 
​To participate in CRED, you must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Staten Island residents with valid proof of address dated within 6 months of enrollment
  • Between 18-40 years old 
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Underemployed or unemployed individuals 
  • Individuals involved in the criminal justice system or impacted by community violence 
  • Willing to commit to intensive training and internships
  • Ready to begin a full-time job after course completion 
  • Some additional requirements may be essential for a particular career track, such as high school diploma or GED

Choose the career path that interests you the most. Each track includes comprehensive training, certifications, and connections to employers
Construction
This Hybrid training program is designed to equip you with industry-leading skills, paving the way for a more sustainable future in construction and related fields.
Recognized as a premier training provider in construction safety, Menotti Enterprise stands as a beacon of excellence, ensuring participants are equipped with the vital knowledge and skills for the industry.

NYC DOB Supervisor SST Training: 
A comprehensive training program designed to meet the stringent requirements of the New York City Department of Buildings. This training ensures participants are prepared to work on construction sites in New York City.


OSHA 30 Construction Training: 
A foundational course that dives deep into the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's standards for construction. This training ensures participants understand the safety protocols and regulations, making job sites safer and more efficient.


First Aid/CPR: 
A crucial training that equips participants with the skills to respond to emergencies. From basic first aid techniques to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), this course ensures that participants can act swiftly and effectively in critical situations.


FDNY - S56 CSFSM Course :
The Construction Site Fire Safety Manager Training – FDNY S-56 Course Training prepares professionals to manage fire safety at construction sites in compliance with the New York City Fire Code. This comprehensive training covers fire safety plans, hot work protocols, equipment inspections, and emergency response practices.

40HR Site Safety Manager: 
The 40-Hour Site Safety Manager Training Course is a foundational program designed for construction professionals aspiring to become licensed Site Safety Managers in New York City. This training covers essential safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment on major building projects.


32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover Course: 
provides in-depth training for construction professionals responsible for assembling and dismantling supported scaffolds in New York City.


32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course: 
equips professionals with the advanced skills and knowledge required to supervise suspended scaffold operations safely and effectively.

 
Training model: Virtual training and in person internship
IT / cybersecurity
Learn essential cybersecurity concepts and critical thinking skills. Explore best practices for mitigating risks from both physical and cyber threats. Work with industry-standard platforms.

Participants complete a CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst) certification

NYS Department of State Security Guard Registration Card.
Certificates of Fitness New York City Fire Department regulations, "S60“ Construction Watchperson
FDNY Fire Guard" certifications F01" is a citywide fire guard for impairment
FDNY Fire Guard" certifications "F03" is for indoor places of assembly safety personnel
FDNY Fire Guard" certifications F04" is for temporary indoor/outdoor place of assembly safety personnel.
