The Unusual Glamour of the Harpsichord Thursday, February 25, 7pm Join us for a presentation and performance by Dr. Michael Eisenberg, harpsichord artist and Bach specialist, who has received wide acclaim for his interpretation of German Baroque composers. Richmond Rockets 'We Love Our Seniors' Virtual Race Our "We Love Our Seniors" virtual race is going strong! The Richmond Rockets running club has shared some great photos of participants with us. Partial scholarships are open to students entering grades 5-12 who have some prior training on their instrument. TODAY: Valley of Tears: Solidarity and Sacrifice, 8pm Inspired by true events around the 1973 Arab-Israeli War (the Yom Kippur War), when Israel was caught off guard on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar and feared total destruction, the new hit Israeli TV series, Valley of Tears, reveals the intensity, anxiety and trauma of that fateful war, and how it re-shaped Israel forever. The Virtual JCC will present retired IDF Colonel, Miri Eisin and Valley of Tears star, Lior Ashkenazi, who will share the impact of that war and how the new series has many Israelis revisiting old wounds, as well as educating the younger generation on the leadership failures that led to the surprise attack and the solidarity and sacrifice that allowed Israel to prevail.
