Izzy will share his story, mission, advice for success and some tips for your home BBQ. You won’t want to miss this one! Watch here. - Every year, the JCC serves over 6,000 people in crisis. This year, that number has grown as Staten Islanders experience hardships related to COVID-19. Here’s the story of a family directly affected by the COVID-19 crisis that we were able to help: We recently were able to help a family of immigrants from South America as they faced food insecurity. The breadwinner of the family lost her job working in a nail salon due to the pandemic, and because the family members aren't citizens, they don't qualify for food stamps or unemployment benefits. We were apply to provide them with food from our Kosher Food Pantry, which will hold them over until the family is able to work again. Donate to our Families in Need campaign here to help families like this one.
