Whether you're working toward your GED/high school equivalency or building your English language skills, our Adult Education programs meet you where you are. Free and available in person and online on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. Enrollment is limited, and registration is ongoing.

GED/ABE Preparatory Program

​This program is for NYC Residents who are 18 years of age or older and wish to prepare for the GED Exam. There is also a class given in Spanish to prepare students to take the GED test in Spanish.

In addition, we will help all eligible students schedule their GED Examination at available local testing centers.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

The English for Speakers of Other Languages Program offers free classes to help NYC residents ages 18+ improve their English language skills. Instruction focuses on improving reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as learning about American culture. Classes are held in the morning, evening, or on Saturdays.
