Funds & Campaigns

What are Funds and Why Does the JCC Need Them?

A Fund is created by an individual, family, or business to ensure that there is adequate funding to support a project that is important to them. The JCC, like all not-for-profit organizations, often has all of its income dedicated to providing its core programs, maintaining its facilities, and supporting its membership in diverse ways.

Building Funds for the Future

It is essential for the JCC to build its financial strength for existing and future programs and services, thereby enhancing our highly regarded position as the leading social service agency in Staten Island. The JCC is at the forefront of recognizing emerging needs that necessitate the creation of new Funds.

What Can You Do?

  • You are welcome to make a donation to any of our existing Funds below.

  • You can also create a new Fund.

Ways to Support Sunrise

The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island heavily relies on the support of our local community. Thanks to your contributions and support, we have been able to give back summer to hundreds of children with cancer and their siblings.

Other Ways to Give

Matching Gifts

Did you know many companies offer a matching gift program to encourage charitable giving among their employees?  And that some companies will even match to spouses and retirees?

By taking advantage of your company's matching gift program, you can double, or even triple your donation.

Naming Opportunities

The JCC offers numerous Dedication and Naming Opportunities at various locations. By selecting a dedication opportunity, you will be creating a meaningful permanent tribute to a family member or loved one.

Please contact Allison Cohen, Chief of Communications & Fundraising at (718) 475-5233 or [email protected] to discuss the dedication or naming opportunity that best suits your need.

Legacy Giving

In some way, your life is rooted in experiences connecting you to the JCC. To continue on your legacy, please consider including the JCC in your will or estate plan. By leaving a planned legacy gift, you can assure that the traditions and programs that mean so much to you today will exist for future generations. Anyone, regardless of age or wealth, has the ability to assure that the JCC of Staten Island continues providing essential programs by leaving a planned gift today. Some options include: bequest in a will; gift of life insurance; or a future gift of IRA/retirement plan. Your planned legacy gift will provide meaningful, lasting support to the JCC.
