Social & Career Services

When challenges arise, no one should have to face them alone.

The Staten Island JCC Social Services Department helps individuals and families navigate difficult moments with compassion, dignity, and support. Whether someone is seeking access to resources, employment assistance, benefits guidance, or help during a period of crisis, our team is here to connect people with the services they need.

Our Services

Services are available to all members of the community, and JCC membership is not required. Support is available in multiple lanaguages.

  • Two young men in high-visibility safety vests holding helmets and showing ID badges at an indoor event, with other people in safety gear in the background.

    JCC Career Connections

The JCC provides career services assistance, including enrollment in both paid and unpaid job training programs, professional development workshops, one-on-one interview prep and career preparedness sessions with our Career Coach, and special events.

  • People attending an informational event or conference in a large indoor space with tables, display boards, and balloons. Some individuals are engaged in conversations and exchanging documents.

    Health Insurance Programs

The JCC is committed to helping people in our community find affordable health insurance. We help over 4,000 people get health insurance annually.

Our multilingual staff memebrs are trained as Navigators, certified through the NYS Department of Health. They assist individuals and families in enrolling in public in public Health Insurance Programs and accessing care services.

  • Two women standing close together, smiling, with one woman holding a large maroon-colored folder or certificate, in an indoor setting. Behind them, a screen displays a black silhouette of hands reaching up, and there are shiny blue balloons hanging on the wall.

    Adult Education

Our Adult Education Programs are free and available in multiple locations around Staten Island. Enrollment is limited and registration is ongoing.

We offer GED/ABE prep, English as a Second Language (ESOL) courses, and more!
