Café Europa: A Social Club for Holocaust Survivors
Café Europa, a club for Holocaust survivors and victims of Nazi persecution, provides social activities for members and their families. The club offers a safe place for survivors to reminisce, form relationships with other survivors, and “keep the light glowing” for future generations by sharing their stories and spirit.
During the holidays, we organize holiday package deliveries for Holocaust survivors, ensuring that they feel remembered and cared for.
Case Assistance for Holocaust Survivors
We offer Holocaust survivors specialized assistance with enrolling in benefits and entitlements in their community. Trained case assistants provide comprehensive screenings to individuals so that they may benefit from all available services. Referrals to specialized programs for survivors are offered as well.
Names Not Numbers
We are proud to partner with the Jewish Foundation School of Staten Island and the Wagner College Holocaust Center on a yearly documentary program, “Names, Not Numbers®.” JFS students interview Holocaust survivors and work on a documentary film, helping to ensure that their stories of survival are preserved for future generations. By partnering on this important program, we uphold our promise to never forget.
