TRIDENT AQUATIC CLUb
Trident Aquatic Club is a USA Swimming registered team that runs from September - August. There are nine training groups for ages 8-18. Placement will be based on experience, ability level, and a tryout administered by the coaches. Placement is at the complete discretion of the coaches. Trident Aquatic Club runs at the Staten Island JCC and at Wagner College. Accepted swimmers can choose their preferred location based on available slots.

USA & Metropolitan Swimming
Trident Aquatic Club is a registered member of USA Swimming and Metropolitan Swimming, our Local Swim Committee (LSC) for the New York Metropolitan Area. All members of Trident Aquatic Club in competitive groups will be able to compete at USA Swimming Sanctioned Meets.

There are eight separate levels to the Trident Aquatic Club swim team at the JCC. The groups are separated by skill, ability level, and dedication. Swimmers must try out for the team and are placed in each group at the coaches' discretion. The coaches will evaluate movement from one group to the next at the middle and end of each swim season (March and August).

Consistent practice attendance and active participation in meets are required for all competitive training groups at Trident Aquatic Club.  During both the short course (October - January) and long course season (May - July), we attend approximately one meet per month (October - January).  Swimmers at Trident Aquatic Club will have the opportunity to participate in championship meets, contingent upon meeting qualifying standards.  In addition to our competitive groups, we have a pre-competitive program for children ages 5-12, which serves as a foundational step for aspiring competitive swimmers, offering essential skills and preparation.

Trident Aquatic Club also features tailored programs such as the Exploratory Swim Team for independent special needs swimmers and an Adult Masters Swim Team for advanced enthusiasts 18+. Our commitment lies in providing inclusive, high-quality swimming experiences for diverse skill levels and ages.
