How to Help Give Summer Back to Children with Cancer and Their Siblings

The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island heavily relies on the support of our local community. Thanks to your contributions and support, we have been able to give back summer to hundreds of children with cancer and their siblings. There are plenty of ways that you can help and continue to support our children. Here are just a few ideas:

Support or Attend Events that Benefit Sunrise Day Camp

We rely on volunteers, sponsors, and attendees to keep our camp running every year. Check out our social media for new events! Many of our volunteers organize their own events or dedicate proceeds of their events to Sunrise Day Camp.

Create Your Own Fundraiser

Events are one of the best ways to help support Sunrise Day Camp, and there are ways for people of all ages to create their own fundraising event! Here are some ways you can help:

Ideas for Kids and Teens:

• Start a Sunrise Day Camp Club at your school
• Organize a Bake Sale
• Create a Lemonade Stand
• Classroom Penny Wars
• Help out with neighborhood chores like mowing the grass, shoveling snow, taking out the trash, walking your neighbor’s dog, and more!
