Holocaust Survivors

We are proud to provide services for Holocaust survivors in our community and their families. In addition to providing services, we are committed to helping Holocaust education and partner with the Wagner College Holocaust Center on many programs.

The JCC’s Holocaust programming inspired Shira Stoll’s Emmy Award-winning series, “Where Life Leads You,” which can be found here: https://holocaust.silive.com
​Free WEllPRO Membership for Holocaust Survivors
​The JCC is proud to provide free WellPro Membership for Holocaust survivors and their immediate family members.

​Café Europa: A Social Club for Holocaust Survivors 
The JCC provides fun, light-hearted, and social activities to over 40 Holocaust survivors and/or victims of Nazi persecution. Café Europa programs have included Israel celebrations, Purim Seudah (meal), Simcha (joy) in the Sukkah, Tu B’Shvat Seder, and more. If you are interested in joining the Café Europa program, please contact Sara Cohen, Program Coordinator, at 718.475.5242 or sacohen@sijcc.com.

​Case Assistance for Holocaust Survivors 
We offer Holocaust survivors specialized assistance with enrolling in benefits and entitlements in their community. Trained case assistants provide comprehensive screenings to individuals so that they may benefit from all available services. Referrals to specialized programs for survivors are offered as well.
