What are Endowment Funds and Why Does the JCC Need Them?
An endowment fund is created by an individual, family or business to ensure that there are adequate funds to support a project that is important to them. The JCC, like all not-for-profit organizations, often has all of its income dedicated to providing its core programs, maintaining its facilities and supporting its membership in diverse ways.
Building Endowments for the Future
It is essential for the JCC to build its financial strength and increase the size of our endowment for existing and future programs and services, thereby enhancing our highly regarded position as the leading social service agency in Staten Island. The JCC is at the forefront of recognizing emerging needs which necessitates the creation of new endowment funding.
