The Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island is pleased to announce it has been selected to house Staten Island’s Older Adult Center Network. The network is comprised of three older adult centers located at the Stapleton Senior Center (189 Gordon Street), the JCC Bernikow Building (1466 Manor Road), and at the JCC Avis/South Shore Building (1297 Arthur Kill Road). The centers are funded by the NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA).

Collectively, all three will come under the Center for Lifelong Development (CLLD) umbrella, which previously only offered programs at the Bernikow Building. Transportation will be provided between the centers, allowing participants to attend events or classes at any center they choose.

​The program’s comprehensive model focuses on wellness, lifelong learning, and caring for older adults as they age. Programs will be offered in a hybrid model, so those who are homebound can attend classes virtually.
