The JCC has been upholding the camping tradition since 1932. Housed at the scenic Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, kids experience the joy of nature while making lifelong friends and learning values like friendship, respect, and perseverance.

Morning Splash Club

Morning Splash Club
For children 6 & over

Program Dates:
• July 6 – August 13, 2026 (6 weeks)
Daily Program Hours
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
(Parents may choose half-day or extended-day options)
Program Options
Morning Splash Club (8:30 AM – 11:30 AM)
• 2 days per week: Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday
• 4 days per week: Monday – Thursday
*Want to extend your child's day at the JCC? Add on our Summer Sports Academy!
After swimming, your child will join our basketball or flag football program for more fun activities!
Pickup will take place at 3:30PM.
*Sports Academy (11:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Available 2 or 4 days per week
• Structured sports and activities
• Schedule matches the child’s Morning Splash Club attendance

Daily Schedule
8:30 AM – Drop-off
9:00–9:15 AM – Dry land warm-up
9:15–10:00 AM – Swim lesson
10:00–10:45 AM – Outdoor pool fun
10:45–11:00 AM – Change
11:00–11:30 AM – Snack
*11:30 AM–3:30 PM – Sports Academy (if enrolled)
Age Groups & Levels
6–8 years – Beginner
9–12 years – Beginner
6 & over – Intermediate / Advanced

*The Sports Academy is an extension of Morning Splash Club: children stay longer for sports and activities after the regular program.​

Marvin’s Camp for Children with Special Needs

https://sijccdaycamp.org/special-needs/Marvin’s Camp, Marvin’s Juniors, and MORE (Marvin’s On the Road Everyday) allow children with special needs to experience the joys of camp. The camp is also housed at Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. All Marvin’s Camp programs are led by highly experienced staff with degrees in special education, social work, and school psychology and is staffed by highly trained, energetic, devoted, and child-friendly counselors.  We maintain low camper-to-staff ratios to ensure excellent care and attention to each camper.

Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp

Sunrise Day Camp is the world’s first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge. The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island is the only day camp of its kind in New York City. The camp serves children from Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and nearby New Jersey.

The camp, which is located on the grounds of Staten Island Academy, serves over 140 children every year. Activities include sports, music, arts & crafts, swimming, and other games.

Recognizing the extraordinary financial demands that a child’s chronic illness can have on a family, Sunrise Day Camps and its year-round and in-hospital programs are offered completely free of charge to all children being treated for cancer and their siblings, on a non-sectarian basis. Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island is a proud member of the Sunrise Association.

Community Based Camps

We also offer free camp programs at our Cornerstone, Beacon, and COMPASS sites. These programs continue the work we do at these sites throughout the year, teaching leadership skills and encouraging academic success.
