At basketball camp, our primary goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach! Dates: 7/5 - 8/12 At our soccer camp, fun is our goal! We will provide the players with the opportunity to develop their skills while experiencing the joy of the sport. The curriculum includes activities designed for children at every skill level. Note that we continue to monitor and the review the guidelines from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH.) We are confident that we will continue to implement the recommended health and safety actions they have set forth and at the same time provide our campers with a summer experience that fosters friendship and community, instills values, nurtures growth and is lots of fun. Marvin’s Camp, Marvin’s Juniors, and MORE (Marvin’s On the Road Everyday) allow children with special needs to experience the joys of camp. The camp is also housed at Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds. All Marvin’s Camp programs are led by highly experienced staff with degrees in special education, social work, and school psychology and is staffed by highly trained, energetic, devoted, and child-friendly counselors. We maintain low staff to camper ratios to ensure excellent care and attention to each camper.

Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day CampSunrise Day Camp is the world’s first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge. The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island is the only day camp of its kind in New York City. The camp serves children from Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and nearby New Jersey.
The camp, which is located on the grounds of Staten Island Academy, serves over 140 children every year. Activities include sports, music, arts & crafts, swimming, and other games. Recognizing the extraordinary financial demands that a child’s chronic illness can have on a family, Sunrise Day Camps and its year-round and in-hospital programs are offered completely free of charge to all children being treated for cancer and their siblings, on a non-sectarian basis.
