These past weeks have been extraordinarily difficult as our community struggles with the challenges related to the coronavirus. On Staten Island, we know the toll the virus has taken on those who have contracted it, small businesses, workers, and families—and yes, our own JCC.
As always, the Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island is doing everything we can to help our fellow Staten Islanders in need by providing critical services to those hit hardest by this crisis.
Every year, the JCC serves over 6,000 people in crisis. This year, that number will grow as Staten Islanders experience hardships related to COVID-19. Without the help of the JCC, many people would not have food, legal services, health insurance, mental health services, and other critical services. We want to be able to continue to provide these services to anyone who needs them, but we need your help.
The JCC is at the forefront of addressing emerging needs, which necessitates this critical funding now more than ever

We know that once the crisis passes and normalcy begins to return, the JCC’s programs and services will become ever more critical to Families in Need affected by the loss of wages, food insecurity, and isolation.
