Every year, the JCC serves over 6,000 people in crisis. This year, that number will grow as Staten Islanders experience hardships related to COVID-19. Here is another story of a family we were able to help: Last month, we received a call from a disabled senior who was looking for Passover food. He and his wife, along with their five children, had contracted mild to moderate cases of COVID-19 and could not go out to shop for food. We were able to provide them food from our Kosher Food Pantry, which was dropped off by their neighbor. Our staff was also happy to connect them to other services to help them as they recover from the virus. You can join us this Giving Tuesday Now by donating to our Families in Need campaign.
