We are reviewing the announcement and will release our protocols soon. It pays to get vaccinated! If you need a vaccine appointment, visit nyc.gov/vaccinefinder or call 877-VAX-4NYC (877-829-4692). - Summer Fun at JCC Aquatics Camp A parent recently let us know how much their children loved attending our Aquatics Camp: "Thank you Staten Island JCC Aquatics Camp for a wonderful swim summer! The skills taught (backstroke, front stroke, diving for toys in the deep end, rocket off the wall), fun games, and water slide playtime were great moments designed by the counselors and swim team. The facilities were great and clean. Outdoor and indoor pools allowed the kids to continue their swimming despite inclement weather. Thank you! I look forward to returning next year!" We're so glad our campers are having a great time in the pool while learning safe swimming skills! - National Night Out On Tuesday evening, the JCC was represented at the NYPD's National Night Out Against Crime! Staff members were on hand to tell visitors about the wide array of programs and resources we offer to help Staten Islanders from all walks of life. - Driver's Ed is Back! We are excited to announce that Driver’s Ed will be back this fall! The JCC contracts with a local vendor to provide a Driver Education program for new drivers 16 years and older. The class meets at the South Shore/Avis JCC for classroom work and in-car classes. The course is a comprehensive introduction to the driving experience. Students must successfully complete both the road and theory portions of the course in order to receive a MV 285, formerly known as the Blue Card.
